CLARKS AUTUMN WINTER 2020 CAMPAIGN

“Clarks celebrates local creative changemakers who unite history with vision”

 

Introducing the twelve creative leaders of the Somerset residency,

taking place in legendary town Glastonbury – 3 miles from Clark’s historical factory and headquarter in Street (UK)

 

Casting was led by creative duo and CRACK MAGAZINE art directors Ade Udoma and Michelle Janssen, who also shot the portraits.

Art director and designer Manu Pillai has masterminded some of the most impressive artist roll outs of the last 3 years; Skepta, Octavian & Motherland to name a few.

 

Victoria Kelly-Gobuiwang’s Batswana and British heritage influences her abstract textile designs creating eccentric and vibrant pieces. Not constricted by conventional fashion, her creations can both be worn and observed.

 

Gaika’s unique unapologetic approach to visual art and sound has propelled him into cult legend territory. Currently political editor-at-large at Dazed Media he continues to influence his peers and inspire young artists.

 

Sage Nation is a young contemporary designer with classic sensibilities. Born in Japan and growing up in England his work illustrates both his eastern and western influences.

West London’s finest export, artist and producer Miink has continued to push boundaries in his song writing and production, receiving admiration from some of the UK’s most accomplished musicians.

 

KEYAH/BLU’s intimate yet polarising sound is an intricate voyage into her soul, with more layers and depth revealed each listen.

 

Charlotte Patmore is a photographer whose work focuses on feel and authenticity, capturing an array of diverse subjects from high profile musicians to her personal friends her photographs convey a vulnerable, intimate side to the subject.

 

Kindness, Singer/Songwriter, Grammy winning producer, musician and DJ.

Danny Nedelko is the frontman of band Heavy Lungs, and an all-round charismatic personality. Currently living in Bristol, Danny was immortalised when award winning British rock band Idles named a whole song after him, he even starred in the video.

 

Multidisciplinary artist Favour Jonathan channels her Nigerian heritage in her contemporary work; history, art and identity are consistent themes in her work.

 

Born in New York City, Goya Gumbani is a rapper and songwriter whose effortless style and introspective lyricism has continued to take him to new heights.

 

Michelle Helena Janssen’s photography creates intimate dream-like worlds, solidifying the thoughts and emotions of her subjects into tangible forms. A true story teller, often blurring the lines between reality and fantasy.
