Mauro Simionato works as Creative Director for the fashion and luxury markets, with a focus on inclusivity-driven communication strategies and responsible design practices.

In the last 10 years, Simionato has built his career through a professional growth in constant tension between branding, cultural production, image making and sustainability advocacy.

In 2008 he co-founded 247 (Twentyfourseven), a multi-brand showroom, and launched Volta Footwear, a brand based on the strength of a single silhouette dubbed “instant classic”.

From 2012 to 2014 he continued his Art Direction work with Asics Europe in Amsterdam while opening Mauro Simionato Studio in Milan, widening his activity to events direction and publishing.

In 2016 he took the role of Artistic Director for the British apparel brand Belstaff (2016-2017), in particular for the launch of the urban-inspired Belstaff Origins line; he then became brand Global Artistic Director for Golden Goose Deluxe Brand (2018-2019). In 2019 he served as brand Global Artistic Director for the sartorial brand Barena Venezia (2019-2020).

In 2020 he was nominated brand Global Creative Director at the British footwear “classic” Clark’s.

As his consulting career was taking off, he founded the brand Vitelli Maglieria Italiana and developed the first prototypes of regenerative knitwear, designing the brand identity with a total focus on the themes of sustainability and inclusivity.
In 2021 the brand made its debut on the official calendar of Milan Fashion Week with the support of the Camera Moda Fashion Trust. For the following seasons, Vitelli has steadily grown in the global panorama of responsible brands, lauded for its endeavor in regenerative production practices.

Since 2022 he is Professor at IUAV University in Venice, Italy, where he directs the MA Ecodesign Laboratory for Fashion Ecology studies (IUAV Fashion).
